The Facial Lift at Once – A Review of a New Anti-Aging Gadget

By Elizabeth

Different rejuvenating procedures (with and without surgery) appear on the market every day. Some of them are truly effective, while others are simply scams that take advantage of our naïveté and lack of information, selling us ungrounded hopes and myths.

Today, while browsing the internet, I came across an innovative non-surgical face lifting technique, called ‘Facial Lift at Once’. It involves a small gadget that emits some kind of electric vibrations. You have to slip it into your mouth for 3 minutes every day in order to see a considerable improvement in the tonus of your cheeks and the surrounding area (mouth, chin, lips and naso-labial folds).

I’m not a fan of such kind of gadgets. Technology has its good sides – nobody can deny it – but generally its capacity of delivering instant results comes with a price. That’s why I still believe that plastic surgery is not the best option and, among all the non-surgical methods, I prefer the natural, holistic ones.

However, this little gadget made me curious: is it another scam or something that really works? If it does work, does it have side-effects? How does it function? Is it safe? So I decided to make a research and write an article on this subject. Let’s begin!

facial lift at onceIt appears that the Facial Lift at Once is a Japanese product developed (or only distributed?) by Japan Trends Shop. It is also called a ‘face muscle and mouth trainer’ and (I assume) it is meant to replace (and accelerate) the effects one could get from performing face lift exercises.

When the beauty gadget is placed into the mouth (just not between the teeth), it emits electric vibrations that are supposed to work on the cheeks, lips, nose, chin and mouth. The strength of the pulsing can be adjusted (it has 4 different levels). The vibrations are emitted in a complete 360° circle. The device comes with a timer, so you can easily monitor the duration of these ‘lazy exercises’.

The electric currents are battery-generated. The Facial Lift at Once is supposed to give your muscles (and consequently the tonus of your skin) a boost ‘at once’, being another version of the ‘instant rejuvenating mirage’ so many people are looking for.

Yes, we would certainly love to look good and be healthy without investing time and effort in our well-being and youthful appearance. We are all aware that this is not really possible and that all transformational processes take time. However, these hopes are difficult to eradicate and because of them, many smart inventors can make lots of money.

You’ve all seen on TV (or even bought) those highly advertised products that could help you lose weight and look fitter by stimulating your muscles with electric currents. I think that the Facial Lift at Once has the same operating principle: instead of performing facial exercises for many months (and continuing them for your entire life) – a process which requires enormous power of will, time and effort – all you need to do is put the device in your mouth for only 3 minutes a day and it will do all the work for you!

Don’t get me wrong – I’m not saying that the gadget does not work. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn’t – I haven’t tried it and I’m not planning to. However, I’m not a fan of those abs-toning devices (I prefer real workouts) and I’m definitely not going to become a fan of this new facial toning gadget. I will stick with the natural ways of getting a face lift without surgery: classical facial gymnastics combined with a dynamic lifestyle, a healthy diet and organic face lift creams, peelings and masks.

Time will prove if this beauty gadget is really effective or not and – the most important thing – if it has any side-effects. After all, let’s not forget that when we place such a device into our mouth, the emitted electric currents are really close to our brain. I’m not a scientist but I still wonder – is it safe? Time will certainly show! I’m sure that in the near future we’ll be able to read online the reviews of all those people who tried the Facial Lift at Once.
