NuFace – A New MicroCurrent Non-Invasive Face Lifting Device
Every morning, when you look in the mirror, you’re probably dreaming about a magic way of removing the unaesthetic signs of aging from your face and erasing all those wrinkles that have appeared as a result of your worries, your experience and all the emotions that life inevitably brings about.
However, we also know that all major changes happen gradually. It took you many years to develop those wrinkles and they cannot disappear overnight – such a transformation requires at least a couple of weeks to manifest. Yes, plastic surgery offers us almost instant results in the field of facial rejuvenation, but we all know the price we have to pay for this risky procedure (and I’m not talking only about money!).
Face lift without surgery is a better (and safer) anti-aging alternative. It encompasses a wide variety of different procedures – some of them are natural, while others involve the latest discoveries in the fields of micro-current, laser or ultrasound.
In this article, I will talk about a new device that seems to be almost a dream come true – the developers promise their clients that they will notice the first improvements in the tone of their skin almost instantly.
I’m talking about Carol Cole’s invention called NuFace. It is a non-invasive battery-operated skin toning device that uses the microcurrent technology I already described in one of my previous articles. The NEW thing about NuFace, however, is the fact that it is a handheld device for home use. Anyone can buy it and use it safely (at least this is what the advertisement promises) in the comfort of their own home.
NuFace uses ‘micro’ or low-level electrical current to stimulate the facial muscles. As a result, more collagen is produced, the skin is toned and firmed and the fine lines are reduced. The rejuvenating effects of this tool can be successfully compared to the results of a microcurrent face lift performed by a professional in clinical conditions.
FDA approved the hand held NuFace device for home use.
Specialists claim that this type of electrotherapy is gentle and safe – you can use the device for 5-20 minutes almost every day (5 days a week is the recommended norm). Its face lifting benefits are instant and the improvements are cumulative. After about 3 months, you can use it only 2-3 times a week, to maintain the results.
How does NuFace work?
Depending on your needs, you can use one of the two recommended techniques: basic and advanced.
The Basic (5 minutes) Technique:
After cleansing and drying the face, apply the Conductivity Gel (it is included in the package). Glide the NuFace device gently over the needed areas, avoiding the sensitive skin around the eyes. If you notice that the conductivity gel gets dry, you can keep it moist with the Optimizing Mist. When you’re done, remove the gel, spray some Mist and apply your usual moisturizer.
The Advanced (7-10 minutes) Technique:
After applying the Conductivity Gel and performing the basic technique, continue by holding the device on specific points of your face for about 5 seconds. You can read the detailed instructions for this procedure (as well as browse lots of useful information about micro-current and NuFace) on the company’s website.
NuFace is suitable for all ages (of course, excepting those younger than 30) and all skin types.
The price of the NuFace Kit (which includes everything you need for the procedure) oscillates around $300.
If we are to believe the manufacturers, the regular use of this device will offer you the non-surgical face lift of your dreams: easy, fast and effective. You facial muscles will get firmer, your skin tighter, your fine lines (and even some of the deeper wrinkles) will disappear and your jaw line will become more defined.
The anti-aging results are visible almost instantly (in some cases, they take maximum 7-8 hours to appear). With continual use, your face will gradually acquire a better texture and a youthful inner glow.
How about side effects? Even if Nu Face is cleared by the Food and Drug Administration and claimed to be 100% safe, I’m sure that you’re all wondering about how the electrical stimulation of our muscles will reflect on our health on the long run. I’ve read many reviews written by people who have tried the device. Some of them are extremely satisfied by the results, while others complain about side effects like flashing in the eyes (due to the stimulation of the optical nerve), dizziness, headaches and even heart palpitations.
In the end, you decide if you should put your health and your beauty in the ‘hands’ of technological innovations. Personally, I will stick to natural, holistic solutions!
