Is it Possible to Have a Breast Lift Without Surgery?
Gravity, age and the gradual loss of elasticity are the main causes of wrinkles and sagging skin. These unpleasant symptoms affect not only your face – they appear all over your body as time goes by. Breasts are also affected by droopiness, especially after pregnancy, weight loss or other major changes in a woman’s life.
When this happens, most women feel that they would do anything to remedy somehow the situation. Of course, there is always the option of having a breast lifting surgery. However, I think it’s needless to say that surgery comes at a price – and I don’t mean only money. Between the possible side-effects of surgery I could name the long recovery time, the potential nerve and muscle damage, bacterial infections and other unpleasant and frustrating experiences. Implants are effective but risky as well.
These days many women are wondering if it’s possible to get a breast lift without surgery or implants. Actually, there are several alternatives to choose from. Even if they cannot guarantee the same dramatic results as surgical breast lift (by reduction or augmentation, they can still delay the effects of aging and make the breasts firmer.
From my own experience, I can say one thing: physical exercises have a wonderful result, if performed correctly and regularly! I’m an incurable yoga practitioner, and I also enjoy doing many other types of workouts. Inverted yoga poses, push-ups and other exercises that train the pectoral muscles can have a good lifting and firming effect on your breasts. Don’t be lazy – this natural breast lifting option is the safest, at the same time having many benefits for your overall well-being.
Now let’s see what other non-surgical breast lift solutions you have. Wear a bra regularly, even when you are alone at home. Take it off only when you sleep, to allow the breast skin and muscles to rest, to breathe and to restore the blood circulation. If you don’t like wearing the bra, keep in mind that the sagging effects of gravity will manifest much sooner.
Breast massage has good results as well. By increasing the blood flow, this method restores the normal elasticity of the skin and the tonus of the muscles, improving the shape of the breasts.
You can also use different creams and lotions for breast lifting. Be careful what you buy, however. There are some good products on the market, but there are also ineffective and even dangerous ones. Check some reviews prior to buying and weight all the pros and cons.
The laser breast lift is another option, especially for those who don’t have the patience of performing daily exercises. This procedure can tighten the skin, temporarily lifting the breasts. The effect is visible almost immediately after the treatment.
You might not believe it, but there are also Botox-involving breast lifting procedures! Botox is not approved by FDA for breast lifts because its action on the chest muscles still needs to be researched. Personally, I think that this procedure is too risky and not worth trying. Injecting the Botox neurotoxin in the pectoral muscles can have a nice lifting effect, but don’t forget that everything is connected in our body, and all our vital organs are located in the vicinity of your breasts!
Thermage, as a body contouring treatment, can be used for lifting both the facial skin and the breasts. This procedure uses radio waves for tightening the skin by stimulating the collagen production in the adjacent tissues.
I was surprised to learn that there are also electrical stimulation procedures (for example, the galvanic stimulation). I believe that these methods are similar to the laser and thermage treatments, being ‘related’ to the microcurrent face lift.
Another type of breast lift without surgery is the breast feather lift. Being similar to the thread face lift, it uses small barbed threads which are implanted into the breast. The unidirectional spikes on the threads are lifting the tissue to the desired height. This procedure is appropriate only for women with small or medium breasts. I don’t know about you, but I feel really uncomfortable thinking about those spikes lifting the breasts, even if they (the breasts) are small and not too heavy. Actually, this procedure is not entirely non-surgical. The threads are implanted surgically, however the incisions are minimal – that’s why the procedure is usually referred to as ‘without surgery’.
If you’re wondering about the cost of a breast lift without surgery, then – since there are so many different procedures – expect to find a wide price range. While physical exercises are free (you can do them at home, needing only patience and determination), the more complicated treatments like laser or Thermage are pretty expensive.
Before choosing a certain procedure, make sure that you read not only the advertisements, but also as many objective reviews as you can find (for example, opinions of the patients who already tried the particular method you have in mind). Just like the face lift without surgery treatments, the non-surgical breast lifts are a non-invasive way of slowing down the aging process and maintaining your youthful appearance without severely affecting your health.
